Somatic Therapy helps individuals heal from trauma by focusing on the body's natural ability to process and recover. It recognizes that traumatic experiences can get "stuck" in the body, leading to ongoing difficulties.

During a Somatic Experiencing session, I will guide you to become more aware of your body sensations. I may ask you to notice things like tension, tightness, or other physical feelings that arise when you think about the traumatic event.

I  use gentle techniques like breathing exercises or simple movements to help you release any stored tension or stress from the trauma.

By paying attention to your body's responses and allowing yourself to fully feel and express what's happening, you are gradually process the trauma. This process allows the body to complete its natural healing cycle and release the lingering effects of the traumatic experience.

Somatic Therapy is like giving your body a chance to heal itself. It helps you listen to what your body is saying about the trauma and supports you in releasing any physical or emotional tension that may be held in your body.
